Choosing the Correct Garment Size
You can offer a mix of garments and colors to your Cub Scout Pack members. Check every product page for sizing information. The one constant is that their is no size standard across manufacturers or even product lines.
It’s a Challenge
“What shirt size do you want to order?” The best advice we have is ask them! Guessing sizes is a minefield. Every Cub Scout Pack is different.
From our experience when it comes to the scouts, it’s best to avoid Youth Small size. Kids grow too quick. Most Cub Scout Packs get a mix like 40% YM, 40% YL, 20% Adult Small for the Cubs. If ordering sweatshirts, order a size larger because they are often not as long as t-shirts.
Size Variation
Not all medium-sized polos or jackets are the same. Garment types (even from the same vendor!) are often cut differently. In general, all garments are cut differently. Please review the garment detail pages for sizing information.
Order Extras
Ordering extra garments is the best thing you can do to solve size issues. After the garments arrive, some people change the size they need. Having a few backup shirts enables you to keep those people happy. As new people join the group, it’s a great idea to have a cap or polo to welcome them.
Embroidery Thread Colors
Picking Thread Colors
It can be challenging to pick colors on your device because of monitor variables, lighting, and glare. We have almost 100 thread color options. Tell us what colors you would like to be used and we will pick them for you! You will see a online proof to make sure your happy with the selection before the order is produced. Contact one of our expert customer representatives if you’re concerned about your thread and garment color combination.
What garment colors correspond to the traditional Cub Scout colors?
Navy Blue
Usually looks Black on most phone and monitors. Navy is closest to the color of a New Cub Scout uniform. Like the uniform, after a few washings the color becomes more blue.
Royal Blue
Royal is the blue in the Cub Scout logo and the American Flag.
Gold
Athletic Gold color that’s a bit deeper than the yellows used in Cub Scouting. In general this gold looks the best.
Daisy or Lemon Yellow
Yellow that matches the Cub Scout logo and many Cub Scout elements. As a shirt color, it can be a bit harsh but many packs are happy with it.
Personalization Option
We do offer embroidered names. They are limited to the area under your design or opposite your design. Embroidered names can only be added to an embroidered garment. (Digital or screen printed garments cannot get embroidered names.)
Cost of Embroidered names
You have a choice of Block or Script in any thread color.
- $5 for a single line under a logo (if it fits)
- $8 for up to 3 lines on a right crest
- $8 for 2 lines on a sleeve or cap back.

Mixing Garments Types
Everyone wants something different? We can help with that! As long as they can all be embroidered with the same design, you can mix garment types like caps, ladies shirts, and hoodies in your custom embroidery order. Price will vary per garment type, but the total quantity will determine the price break.
Reorders
Reorders are priced based on quantity. Its a good idea to get some extras at the higher price break. Once we have your design, the minimum order is just 1 garment. At lower quantities, garments will cost more.
