We know every penny matters so we give away all the patch features that other companies nickel and dime you for like 100% coverage, fully merrowed edge, and plastic backing for sturdiness. And we don’t skimp with colors either! Your patches will be embroidered in as many as nine beautiful colors at no extra charge.
You’ll find out how easy it can be to order patches and if you’ve ever ordered from someone else before, it will be a pretty refreshing experience. Check out samples of our work so you can see how great your patches will look!
Turnaround
Production Schedule
Most orders placed this week will arrive
the week of April 7th, 2025.
Turnaround is about 4 weeks for customized design ideas. Transit time is already included! Artwork approval times are also included, but can delay arrival. If you want extra time to work with your artist on a custom design from scratch, order a week earlier. Rush options are available!
Patch Sewing and Placement
Most patches are sewn by hand. For a 3″ patch, 10 stitches will work. If you want the patch to never come off, a stitch every 1/4″ is the best. If you don’t want to sew your patches, we suggest
Badge Magic. An iron and scissors are all you need.
Patch Sustainability Efforts
ClassB is switching to 100% recycled PE plastic for the backer on embroidered BSA patches! We will use the current stock up and should be fully transitioned to the recycled plastic by the end of 2021. We are very proud of the increased sustainability of our scout patches. It was very difficult to get the chemistry right for the ink to be stable on the plastic during the heat process. The first rolls of backer are OK (see picture). Print quality is getting better with every roll.
BSA patches have an option to use 2 stickers in place of the plastic backer. We can do this but the stickers just don’t hold up with the variation of humidity and temperature. Many will come off and generate litter and the total waste stream is increased.
Patches that are not BSA licensed can skip the backer all together for even more sustainability.
Money Back Guarantee
If you aren’t 100% satisfied, simply return your patch order for a full refund. We even pay the cost of return shipping and your refund is processed within 3 business days Click for details & restrictions
Simple Online Proofing
You always approve artwork!
You always approve the patch artwork before we produce your order! Your artwork is posted to a web page for you to view and approve. You’ll be able to share that web page with members of your unit or committee.
 |
It’s your option to approve a pre-production sample!
You also have the option to approve a pre-production sample of your patch for NO EXTRA CHARGE! Please note, choosing to approve a pre-production proof can add one to two (1-2) weeks to your turnaround time.

Thread Colors
The color swatches shown on our web site represent our best effort to show you what color your order is going to be when you receive it. We wish we could make every computer monitor display colors accurately, but the technology just isn’t quite there yet. Until then, we are thread color experts so you can always rely on us to help pick out the best matches for your artwork.
Please note that metallic and neon threads cost more. If you want to add one of these attention grabbing colors to your order, we’re going to individually quote the pricing for that color based on coverage in your particular design. Just give us a call and we’ll be glad to answer any questions you have.

ClassB Patch Story
As a scout, I had a very profound experience with patches. The memory of those experiences has formed the culture of ClassB. Within a week or two of joining my local troop we went to a camporee. That camporee was one of the defining events of my life. I can remember every detail. I remember the sense of excitement in participating in simple scout contests. I remember the sense of comradere as many of us ran down dirt trails on a ridge overlooking the camporee site. My troop built a tower that seemed unbelievably tall. Every second of that weekend was magical.
I had no idea I was going to get a patch for just being there! When I was handed that patch, I felt like I had accomplished something. Like I had been a part of a unique event in the history of the world and here was my prize. I held the patch and took it school. I told my friends. I dreamt of other events just like it. The patch to me was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. To an eleven year old, that patch represented so much emotion, hope and excitement. I cannot help but the lucky kids get to have this kind of experience. Scouting provides those kind of opportunities.
I spend many years in scouting and was often disappointed that the patches I received for other events. Those other patches never quite lived up to the ‘magic’ of the first one. Part of this is the ‘first time’ effect. That first patch was inherently better than the patches that followed. It was colorful, had depth, and invoked a sense of drama.
At my next camporee, I had another amazing experience. It was everything the first one was. I played capture the flag for the first time with like 50 scouts, it was unbelievable! When I was handed the patch, my father tried to take my patch as it was handed out claiming “that was his patch”. No way I was letting ‘my patch” go. It was on the drive back on Sunday that I noticed something odd about my patch. Part of the square knot was missing. Keep in mind, I was only eleven: I thought I had done something wrong. We had just moved across the state, maybe this new Troop did not like me? I was embarrassed. I considered leaving scouting. Every second of that event ran thru my mind looking for the reason my patch was different than everyone else’s. All of this anguish for the tiniest production error.
To a young Scout the smallest things can take on enormous importance. As adults, we realize those things do not mean anything at all. We are now in the position to have that effect on your scouts. We do all we can to make things right so they can have more positive experiences and less ‘half-knot’ ones.
My First Camporee
By 1980’s standards, this was one awesome patch! I still have it after all these years. It is kept where I can see it in my office.
 |
My Second Camporee
My patch is upper left, my fathers lower right. Thats a homemade button loop. It is also in my office for when someone asks if its ok to knowingly ship a defective shirt or patch.
