How do I make my design look antique or worn out?
December 7, 2010

We carry designs with a “Distressed Pattern”. This pattern gives the design a crackle or worn out look. This pattern can be found on our Design Online area by clicking the blue ‘Add Art’ button.

You can also search our Clip Art for distressed patterns, you will have multiple choices to choose from, and you can add them to your favorites.

Start looking here for the distressed clipart on our website.

Can I use the Olympic rings in my design? How about the words “Olympic” or “Olympics?”
September 10, 2010

No. Federal law prohibits the use of terms related to the Olympics and symbols used by the United States Olympic Committee.

For more information, please read the U.S. Olympic Committee’s guidelines for using their marks or, for complete information, read the Ted Stevens Olympic and Amateur Sports Act.

If you have questions or would like to apply for special permission to use the intellectual property of the U.S. Olympic Committee, please contact the Media & Public Affairs office at the USOC.

What size will the design be on my t-shirts?
September 10, 2010

There are different maximum sizes we use depending on the range of garment sizes and type of garments you are ordering. The size of your design will be shown on your proof.

The design stays the same size across all garments. We try to stretch the design as big as possible on your smallest garment. If you order a mix of Youth and Adult sizes then the design will “look” larger on the small shirts and smaller on the large shirts, even though the design stays the same size.

Some garments have a naturally smaller imprint area.   Youth hooded sweatshirts, for example, can not be printed with a vertical design on the front.  Call or email today for assistance if your order includes t-shirts and youth hoodies.

My art is approved, when will I receive my order?
September 10, 2010

Your order will arrive on the scheduled date.   You can find the scheduled date on the order acknowledgement that was emailed to you.

Once your order has been printed and shipped, you will receive an email from our shipping department with a tracking number(s) and a link for the carrier.

Will I get to see my embroidered design sewn on fabric before production?
September 10, 2010

Yes!

Your embroidery will be sewn on a fabric swatch that is similar in color and texture to your ordered goods, you will be able to view it on the artwork proof page. It will not be exact and is only intended to show the embroidery, not the final product.

Embroidery is an imprecise art and there is some variation in how the embroidery looks from garment to garment. The threads which make up the design don’t always fall in the exact place, but we do the best we can to match the approved design onto your embroidered garments.

How much time do I have to approve my artwork without delaying my order?
September 10, 2010

Your proof should be approved as soon as possible!

When you need to make changes or adjustments, it may take our artist up to one business day to make that change for our Standard Service. If your art has not been approved within 3 business days of the order date, your order may be delayed.

For Rush orders, your artwork is usually available the same day you place your order, and should be approved within one business day so your order will not get delayed.

Reorders using the same design from a past order do not go through a proofing process.  We use the same art file from the previous order so you can be sure the art will match!

Many of our repeat customers enjoy the opportunity to work with our experienced art department and will order early (by a week or more) so that exploring different ideas won’t delay their order. If you’d like to be able to see different ways of interpreting your artwork, you should order early, we’d love to work with you!

How do I make changes to my artwork?
September 10, 2010

Send us changes to your artwork by choosing the yellow “I need changes” button and then leaving a comment that lets us know what you would like changed.  You can call 1-800-851-4020 if you prefer and explain the changes you would like.

Changes to your artwork received during business hours are typically completed within 1 business day or less.

You can make as many changes as you want because we do not have art fees. However, if the total art approval process takes longer than two business days from the first proof to the final approval, your order may be delayed.

For Rush orders, the art approval process must be completed within one business day to avoid delay.
